“Rasheed is life, man. I love his life.” KG

****Some notes from the home opener:

Perk is a beast! Last night Perk was aggressive from the get go! We all know Perk isn’t going to be a scorer, but last night he was putting shots up left and right. He took it right at Tyson Chandler, backing him down in the paint, banging around on the block for offensive rebounds and challenging every shot Chandler put up (he had four blocks). I do have to say that watching Tyson Chandler was mildly depressing. To me, Tyson Chandler could have been great but has never lived up to his potential (partially because he’s been hampered by injury after injury). It’s obvious that he didn’t want to leave NoLa for Charlotte. He looked pretty bad out there last night and most of his energy was spent talking trash to Perk, and not on playing. Sad!

Another good game for Rondo! Rondo’s 2 for 2 in solid games this season. Can the Celtics re-sign him already, pllleeeeaaaassseeee? He could be one of the only franchise players that’s not a prolific scorer. I’ll gush more about why Rondo needs to be re-signed soon, but for now, I’ll stick to last night. Rondo beat Raymond Felton on the drive every time he took it to the paint. In 30 minutes of play he was 5 of 6 from the floor, grabbed three rebounds, dished out 11 assists and had 3 steals. During a span of a minute and some change in the third quarter, Rondo found Paul for eight straight points. Did you know I love him? Efficiency!

Rest for everyone but Ray? Ray played 38 minutes last night, while the other two members of the big three played 25 minutes. In a blowout game like last night was, I don’t really dig that. However, I am far from being alone in my belief that rest for the big three is important, so I’m sure rest will come and Doc will do a good job of monitoring his minutes.

The offense was a tad on the inconsistent side… Lots of threes got thrown up and guys were taking the first shot they could. Turns out it doesn’t really matter because they won 92-59 and played pretty solid defense.** **
